Reading Tandoori is a new and exciting Indian and Nepalese Restaurant based in West Reading offering modern, air conditioned, fully licensed dining, takeaway and local delivery.

Located in the premises formerly Flavour Of India, Reading Tandoori is the perfect central location for delivery to Central and West Reading and surrounding areas including Tilehurst, Calcot, Caversham, Coley Park, Whitley, East Reading and Cemetery Junction.

With parking outside the premises and on the no. 17 bus route from Reading Town Centre, Reading Tandoori is the perfect location for a great night out with family, friends, couples, for business and pleasure. We cater for large groups and for any occasions and are happy to discuss your needs to ensure your special occasion is a perfect one.

Reading Tandoori boasts a wide range of delicious Indian and Nepalese dishes made from original spices using the most traditional techniques. Each dish will have its own distinctive flavour and aroma using only spices which have been separately prepared. We believe you will get the utmost satisfaction from our delicious dishes. Any dishes not on the menu can be made on request.

They are open daily from 12pm until 11.30pm including bank holidays. Delivery available every day from 5.30pm until 11pm.

Sundays we offer a Buffet all day with a different selection of authentic and classic Indian and Nepalese dishes, including vegetarian, from 12pm to 10pm Eat As Much As You Like, only £7.95 for adults, £3.95 for children 10 years and under.

Wednesdays is Happy Night. Any Starter, Any Main dish, Any vegetable side dish, Any rice or naan only £10.95 per person. Regular menu also available, dine in only.

Fast-food lovers join queues as McDonald’s reopen drive-thrus across Reading

Absence makes the heart (and the stomach) grow fonder apparently – judging by the queue outside Mc DOnalds & KFC (Oxford Rd) after the drive-throughs reopened.

Unfortunately, the Mc Donalds restaurant is still not open to diners at Oxford Road but deliveries & drive-through are available.

In fact the restaurant itself may not open until towards September, according to staff.

Drivers are joining a lengthy queue to get their hands on their favourite fast food treats at both venues.

More drive-thrus around the region are starting to open up to take orders from customers as the coronavirus lockdown is eased, see the McDonald branaches have opened

Reading– the branches in Oxford Road, Forbury Retail Park, Bath Road in Calcot and Reading Gate Retail Park are all open.

Slough – McDonald’s in the Bath Road Retail Park, at Slough Uno Bestobell in Buckingham Avenue and in Windsor Road are all open.

Newbury – Newbury Retail Park and Tot Hill Services are also open

If you live in Reading you know The Pavlovs Dog, the welcoming and informal bar in a student area, open from breakfast ’til the early hours. A great place to relax, meet new friends and join in activities such as quizzing and retro-gaming. It was also an ideal place to watch the big games on TV whilst eating and drinking from street food influenced menus.

The venue that closed on 19 January for a make over, has reopens as The Boundary as a sports & craft pub!

Located on St Marys Butts, visit The Boundary great sports viewing, cool craft & great food (including tasty hand-stretched sour dough Pizzas).

Workhouse coffee is an independent coffee company conceptualised by people wanting to create a unique and exciting experience in coffee. This is why nearly 10 years ago they opened a coffee house with the bar sideways and an open section on the bar to encourage transparency and allow the customers to get involved.

They make buying decisions based purely on what is the very best coffee available – irrespective of price.
